Documents required to get married in Denmark

Please notice that paperwork and requirements vary greatly from country to country, please contact us for more specific instructions tailored to your country of origin/residence

Power of Attorney - form we provide

Declaration of Marriage - form we provide

Passport or EU/EEA ID - copies of all pages + front/back

Certificate of Residence - documentation (eg electricity bill) of your residence. Must be translated by authorized translator into German, English, or Danish

Proof of Relationship - Pictures from different dates/screenshot of social media conversations

Entry Visa or Residence Permit - If outside of EEA/Switzerland, you will need a visa. If you're part of the EEA, your ID is sufficient. Please contact us for any questions.

 

Special Cases

Civil Status Certificate- AKA Letter of Non-Impediment, or Certificate of Marital Status. Must be translated and legalized or apostille stamped.

Documentation of Previous Marriage - Proof that your previous marriage ended by divorce, death, or annulment. Must be translated and legalized or apostille stamped.

Birth Certificates for Dependents - To show you have one or more common children. Must be translated and legalized or apostille stamped.
